Mark Lev Krajnc

Mark Lev Krajnc was born in June 2007. He started learning the violin at the age of 5 and a half. For the first five years of junior music school, he was taught by Barbara Kolbl (formerly Fanedl), a violin professor.
He completed the 6th-8th grade of the lower music level at the Fran Korun Koželjski Music School in Velenje, in the class of Danica Koren, violin professor. He passed the entrance exam prematurely and continues his musical education in the 2023/24 school year at the Velenje Art High School - 3rd year of parallel education, majoring in violin - in the class of Professor Danica Koren and at the same time 2st year III. Gymnasium Maribor.
He perfects his knowledge at seminars with prof. Miran and Prof. Barbara Kolbl, prof. Anna Morgoulets, Žiga Brank and others. He participated in nine Summer Music Schools of Professor Danica Koren Neuvirt in Zaton. At the age of 10, he performed as a soloist at five concerts accompanied by the string orchestra of the Danica Koren Neuvirt Summer Music School in Zaton near Zadar and received a wave of good reviews.
Mark Lev is the recipient of two Korun awards (school year 2019/20 and 2020/21), which are awarded by the Fran Korun Koželjski Music School to the most successful students of the junior music school.

As a solo violinist, he performed 3 concerts in Ljubljana and Velenje with the Camerata Laibach orchestra in the 2022/23 school year. In the school year 2023/24, in October 2023, he performed a solo piece with piano accompaniment at the celebration at Slovenian National Theatre Maribor for the 160th anniversary of III. Gymnasium Maribor. On 23 November 2023, he performed a solo concert (recital) with piano accompaniment at the Conservatory of music and ballet in Ljubljana, which he received as a winner of the 6th Leon Pfeifer competition. On 17 December 2023, he performed as a soloist with the Zagreb String Orchestra at Advent in Zagreb, which he received as the first prize in the IV category of the Daleki akordi competition in Split, where he was the only one in the category to receive the maximum 60 points. In January 2024, he played as a soloist in 3 concerts with the symphonic orchestra of the art gymnasium - he was chosen as the best student of the gymnasium as a soloist. In February 2024, he passed the entrance exam to the Graz University of Arts. Mark Lev enjoys music very much. He cannot imagine life without a violin and wants to continue the path of a successful violinist.
